Felofey Candles: Rose, Jalebi, Imarti and Modak Candles, and Which One to Gift

Felofey is known first for crochet, but the candles are the other half of the shop. There are seven of them, in two families: roses, and Indian sweets. This page lists every Felofey candle, what it costs and who it suits.

What Felofey candles are made of

Wax, poured into a mould by hand, with a cotton wick. They are unscented, and that is deliberate. In an Indian home a candle shares the room with food, incense and puja, and a fragrance you did not choose is worse than none.

Because each one is poured and unmoulded by hand, the colour and surface vary a little from candle to candle.

Burn them or keep them?

Either. Every candle has a real wick and burns like any other candle. Most people do not light them, though. Hours go into getting a rose's petals right in wax, and a flame undoes that in well under an hour. A common middle path is to light them for a short while during a festival and keep them as decor the rest of the year.

If you do burn one:

• Trim the wick to about 5 mm first.
• Stand it on a heatproof dish, never straight on wood, cloth or plastic.
• Keep it away from curtains, children and pets, and do not leave it unattended.
• Burn it for two to three hours at most in one sitting.

Which Felofey candle to gift

Ordering and delivery

Candles are packed to travel, and standard delivery is 2 to 5 working days across India. Orders are prepaid by UPI. If a candle arrives broken, tell us within 48 hours of delivery with a photo, and we replace or refund it once verified. The steps are set out in how to order from Felofey.

Are Felofey candles scented?

No. All of them are unscented.

Can Felofey candles be lit?

Yes. Each has a cotton wick and burns normally. Many people keep them as decor instead.

How much do Felofey candles cost?

From ₹199 for a single large rose candle to ₹299 for the rose or modak sets of four. Delivery is included.

How many candles are in a set?

The jalebi, imarti, modak, dessert collection and rose bud sets have four each. The open roses come as a pair, and the large rose is sold singly.

Will a candle melt in the post in summer?

Candles are packed to travel, but wax softens in strong heat. Do not leave the parcel in a parked car or in direct sun, and unpack it soon after it arrives.

Does Felofey make candles in bulk?
